so im writing a story and character X needs to have a bad poker hand with not alot of chance of winning, however she sees through the other opponents (character Y) card and his are worse than hers! so she raises even more money and wins! what hands would be good for me to use?

I want to learn about the odds of catching certain hands (and also of my opponents catching certain hands) in poker, but I’m terrible at calculating odds on the spot (my math skills are pretty sub-par). Does anyone know of any sites or programs or ways to improve this aspect of my game?

I’m a cautious person by nature and although im very good at poker with no real money involved, i want to play against opponents who play as if the stakes were serious… without them actually being serious. Help please!

What is the best program (i.e. Full Tilt Poker) to play poker (preferably Hold ‘Em) for free against online opponents?

Im talking about software that calculates weather you should go in or not and analyzes your opponents. How many people use it.

I need some poker software to show basically what types of hands opponents are playing and what percentage of the time they call etc. but also i wanted to know do you think that it will interfere with my game? or cause me to play worse?

Finally, I’m thinking to buy an opponent tracker/database. These software keep track of how other players play and give info on their styles.
